Share The Love || A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

Hello Readers!

Finally! I got around to a book review! Are you as excited as I am? Okay you probably aren’t but whatever. Let’s do this thing.

A Monster Calls

The monster showed up after midnight. As they do.

But it isn’t the monster Conor’s been expecting. He’s been expecting the one from his nightmare, the one he’s had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming…

This monster is something different, though. Something ancient, something wild. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor.

It wants the truth.

So, I was given a copy of this book by my Secret Sister who goes by the name of ‘Ariel’ and I finished the book a couple days after I got it. (Granted I didn’t start it until a few days after haha 😛 ) I’m seriously in LOVE with this book! ❤

After reading this book I will, without a doubt, be reading more of Patrick Ness’s works. This was the first book of his I read and if I said I didn’t enjoy it would be a big fat lie! Not only was the story amazing and intriguing but Patrick Ness’s writing style is beautiful ok? It was gorgeously amazing and flowed so well almost like poetry. I loved it.

I loved the emotions I could just feel radiating off the pages as I read. I felt fear and suspense when the monster showed itself. I also really connected with the MC Connor as well. All his emotions I could feel. At points it felt like it was me as the main character and it was just truly magical. Such amazing writing, let me tell you that.

I enjoyed this book so much and was blown away by it. I honestly don’t think I’ve read such a beautiful book before. It was an outstanding novel. If you haven’t read it then do it now. Ok? Take my word on this.

I rate this book: 5 Diamonds

5 Diamonds

I like using diamonds instead of stars. Don’t judge me 😛

Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on it? Did you love it? Why or why not?

Until Next Time,

Adriana G.

Its Time To Share The Love || All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Hello Readers!

So this past week I was able to read through three books which means I have reviews for (for sure) these next 3 weeks! It was so great to get back to reading again after pretty much a month of no reading at all. Now, I refuse to waste any more time on an intro and get right into this review!

All The Bright Places

The Fault in Our Stars meets Eleanor and Park in this exhilarating and heart-wrenching love story about a girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die.

Soon to be a major motion picture starring Elle Fanning!

Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.

Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.

When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink.

This is an intense, gripping novel perfect for fans of Jay Asher, Rainbow Rowell, John Green, Gayle Forman, and Jenny Downham from a talented new voice in YA, Jennifer Niven.

Oh my giddy goodness people! Prepare for tears. I rarely cry while reading books. (Watching movies is a whole other story) I usually tear up but never full out cry or wail… But this book.

da26627936b54f33ddb1e5d1bad774f3.jpg

This book seriously made me cry harder than my two year old sister who just met Santa Claus for the first time at our local shopping center. (Reffering to her being scared to death of him of course)

ATBP was so beautifully crafted and wonderfully written. I loved it ans it was so relatable to me ATBP Pic(being a sufferer of Depression) and I just couldn’t believe it. Many times, while reading through the book, I would find a quote and instantly I would just be like: ‘Oh my gosh! Someone understands how I feel’ It just blew my mind.

Despite the sadness and feels in this book it was just amazing! It felt so real to me. I could feel the pain these characters felt and I could see them like I was there, in the book itself as one of the characters. They felt so real and alive to me. I seriously gotta hand it to Jennifer Niven as she did such a wonderful job. *applauds the author* Their feelings just felt so real and so did their situations. Maybe some of it was due to my experience with depression or just becasue it was so well written (Actually….It’s probably both…) I seriously cannot get over it.

FullSizeRender-69I also love that someone was finally brave enough to do what Jennifer did. It seems that the media/books are avoiding the topic of Suicide/Depressiona and Mental Health more and more. I think that by being brave enough to write something like this and shine a light on that will help so many people. I love how Jennifer approached this topic in such a real way and wasn’t afraid to leave out some aspects or not write about it at all. Mental Health is something that needs to be talked about but that just isn’t happening…So yeah. Another reason why this book is amazing becasue it talks about Depression and Suicide in a real way.

I absloutely fell in love with both Finch and Violet as well. Finch was awkwardly adorable and so sad and broken but amazingly charming. Violet was very sweet though somewhat lost in the feeling of loss she feels.

THIS BOOK WAS JUST AMAZING IN CASE THAT WASN’T CLEAR! IF YOU HAVENT READ THIS BOOK THEN READ IT RIGHT NOW!

*takes a deep breath* Okay…relax…calm down…

So…Basically:

f188dd9833f16cd32e62b7eec9669ca9.jpg

If I could I would give this book a 1 million stars….but the rating only goes up to 5 so…. 5 BRIGHT SHINY STARS FOR ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES

Share The Love: ||3 Day Cover Reveal Countdown + Forest of Whispers Book Review||

Hello Readers!

Sorry for my absence of countdown stuff these last couple days AND the lateness of this post. My family and I spent our Family Day down at Frank Slide walking around and learning more about the tragic event in 1903 in the small town of Frank, Alberta. It’s such a chilling thing to be there, walking around on basically a two mile wide graveyard of limestone. (I’m working on a project related to this so soon I will tell y’all more about it.) So, that is the reason why this post is so late, BUT it’s here now….Better late than never, right?

First things first, The Book Review of Forest of Whispers!

18506004

“This is who I am. I am no longer the simple girl hidden behind the safety of a make-believe forest. I am the story. I am the tall tale . . . I am the witch.”

Raised by an old fortune-teller within the dark veil of the Bavarian Black Forest, Rune has learned two valuable lessons: only take from the forest that which you can use, and never, never look anyone in the eye in the village. For something terrible happened in the forest long ago… and now, the whispers of a long-dead mother with a vengeful secret have come haunting.

Forced to flee all she has ever known, Rune soon learns of a legacy she is bound to–one that is drenched in fear, witchcraft and murder–a birthright that stretches beyond the grave to the trees where Rune is no longer safe.

This book….was absolutely FANTASTIC. Within seconds I was pulled into the story and doomed to never return until I reached the words ‘The End’

When I finished this book I sat around for a while trying to figure out what the heck to do with my life now that the book was over.

Feels
This book had me doodling away and SURPRISE fan art was made. I need to actually finish with it…but that is seriously how much I adored the book. 🙂

I was very brutally attacked by feels and many times I just wanted to reach into that book and give Rune and the other characters big hugs… Or just abduct them and put them away in a safe place where their author can’t hurt them and the characters would be happy and I would give them yummy hot chocolate and yes…I would keep them very safe. I just want my beautiful characters to be happy DX But really, despite the fact that this book did kill my feels I still say you pick up your own copy of this book as soon as you can and read it all right now….

Now! Characters! I LOVED the characters. First of all I am not going to lie and say that I kept picturing Matilde to look like the witch from Disney’s Brave…Though maybe not with such a big nose….Okay,anyways. moving on. I really liked Matilde as a character and I loved how she was like a mother to Rune and I just likes that whole relationship going on there. That was great. I loved Rune as a character as well. She was such a sweet character who was put through a lot of trials and had a heavy, and life threatening burden to carry…and really I think she handled everything pretty well…I mean if I were her I would have just curled up in a ball and cried until the ‘bad guys’ found me and POOF! bye bye me! So yeah, she was a great character who was a pretty tough cookie and I really enjoyed her very much.

The story is also from the POV of a young man named Laurentz and it was really great seeing his side of the story and just getting to know him as a character. I really enjoyed him as a character and his want to protect Rune and how he tries to help her is just-I just- ashjskshruhgjkshikgusyfgjysklfg.

jeremy-renner-fangirling

It was just so cute how he set out to protect Rune and refused to see her like everyone else did and was set on her not being what people said and yes…I loved it! Quite adorable. I ship it! There is so much I hope happens in the second book too…. LIKE MY SHIP ACTUALLY SAILING for one thing! It’s a little stranded right now while I wait for ‘Castle of Sighs’ but, either way this book was absolutely wonderful and I adored it very very very much! 😀

My rating for this book is 5 Stars people….and in my mind, 5 Stars = Go buy this book right now, read it then LOVE IT.

Oh….and one more thing!!!

It’s Time to Share The Love || Counted Worthy by Leah E. Good

Hello Readers!

Sorry about the lateness of this post! I mean’t to write the review this weekend so I wouldn’t be scrambling to do it now but going to a movie, sherlock marathons, sickness and MORE ARC’s kinda distracted me from what needed to be done! But, no matter. Here is todays book review of ‘Counted Worthy’ by Leah E. Good

22752883

Heather Stone lives in fear of repeating the past, yet she continues doing the one thing that could trigger another disaster. When the police trace an illegal Bible to her house, Heather’s world begins to crumble.

Her father’s life hangs in the balance. No one with the power to help knows or cares. If she tries to save him, she could lead her friends to their deaths. If she does nothing, her father’s fate is certain. Can she evade a hostile police force and win public sympathy before it’s too late?

So, basically:

Belle talking books

This book was fantastic! I will admit I was a tiny bit un-sure about this book when I first started it. *ashamed* But that was very quickly turned around when I was dragged into the world of this book and was doomed to not return for hours…..Sorry to all those people I kept abandoning when you texted me…I really truly am sorry, but this book… *flails* (But in the process of ignoring said people while reading has got them interested in the book. You win some, you lose some.)

Anyways. The plot for this novel was really great and well written. I felt like the story itself could have been a bit longer but it was still a good enough length and told the story. (But I just would have liked a little more backstory for a certain event and such)

I loved the characters very very much! And there might have been a ship where a ship could potentially exist… (but didn’t happen in the novel. *sad face* ) Just saying!

Heather was such a great character who has suffered a lot and is putting her life at risk every day because she is a Christian. On top of that, Heather has suffered a lot of pain and you just can’t help but feel sorry for the poor girl *gives the character a hug* She was a great character, I just wish that the pain and sorrow that haunted her from previous events was better explained and I just felt her pain a little more. (But I still felt it…trust me, the FEELS)

I really liked Bryce’s character. He was really smart and a fast thinker but he, like Heather, had his moments where he was extremely stubborn and really only liked his own way/idea of how to do something. I really liked the friendship between both Heather and Bryce too. Really great. (and maybe nearing the end of the novel I was shipping them together, okay?)

Okay, Miss Lucy was a great character. If you have read this book, raise your hand if you want a short story or something about her!…If you haven’t raise your hand anyways cause you will want it!

giphy

Anyways, I loved Miss Lucy. She was such a great character and extremely clever and yeah…just amazing.

I am hoping that there is a sequel for this novel because the ending (Cliffhangers, GAH!) hinted at there being a possible sequel? I’m just sitting here hoping that there is another one and it will come very soon.

My rating for the novel is…… *drumroll*

4.5 Stars!!!

4.5 Stars!!!

Why 4.5? I say 4.5 because I would have liked a little more backstory and more view into what happened to Heather and a deeper look into the pain she was feeling (and a couple more things along that line) but other than that it is an absolutely wonderful read and I highly suggest you read it as soon as you can 🙂

Have you read this book? Wanted to read it? Or is this the first you’ve heard of it? What are your thoughts on it?

So, Until Next Time!

Book Review || The Maze Runner

Hello readers!

So yesterday, I was looking at my lovely blogging calendar and I noticed that I forgot to do a book review on Monday!

So here it is, a review of The Maze Runner.

Sharethelove

Today I’m kind of gonna switch up how I’ll be writing my book review for today, just to try a different reviewing method here for reviewing… Just kinda figured that I might find a different way to review that I like better, we will see 😛images-6-2

If you ain’t scared, you ain’t human.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.

Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

Everything is going to change.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

Remember. Survive. Run.

So I love love love love loooooooved this book! (Thanks to Victoria Grace Howell for hosting the giveaway which landed me the novel on Kindle…and Scorch Trials which is the second book that I have already FINISHED reading.) It was great and real unique. The entire time I was sucked into this story and unable to return to the real world known as reality for hours on end! I have no idea how many times mum had to call me, on multiple occasions, before she got my attention… So yeah. Good, that. *whispers* Oh no…I’m doing it…

I loved the characters too! They were seriously all so great and fantastic and wonderful and yeahhhhh…. I will admit though that I found that I kept getting Alby and Newt confused for the first little bit. They just seemed so alike to start. Nearing the middle of the book I was finally getting it, haha. Besides that though, I really liked them a lot and Newt slowly rose to being one of my favourite characters in the novel for sure.*fictional crush levels rising*Thomas was, obviously, one of my favourites…*is slowly developing a fictional crush* and to be honest I really liked his character. I mean he was stubborn to a fault sometimes and almost at points seemed too determined but that all made sense. I really liked his character. As for Teresa, I really liked her character and wish we saw a bit more of her. Especially consider the fact that she was not only the only girl in this group (therefore different than everyone else for various reasons 😛 ) I mean we may or may not have more development that way but yet I’m not complaining either just pointing out that a little more ‘screen time’ and development would have been a nice little addition. I found Chuck’s character to be rather sweet and found him more as a pet to the others due to him being so young…but I still liked his character. Minho was pretty cool too, kinda annoying but still cool. Gally was just plain old frightening/intimidating and insane yet I really liked his character…is that bad? I mean he was cool! Cool but kinda insane…

I loved the whole setting and such and really the whole Glade and being surrounded by an unsolvable maze filled with deadly creatures. Kinda cool. I mean freaky and frustrating being in said situation but still cool!

I found the POV great and really well done and just really real. Despite being in Thrid Person POV we still got a deeper view into Thomas’s mind and I think it worked brilliantly! Proof that you don’t always need to use First Person POV to tell a story from the POV of a character. 😀

As for the slang…I usually hate made up slang in novels and I will admit that when I first started reading it I was a tad confused but soon caught on with how they used the said slang and such and to be honest this one was rather cool and I actually tolerated. But…

*Insert dramatic music here*

The one thing I wasn’t too sure about was that the slang word ‘shuck’ that the Glader’s often used resembled the F word rather closely. I don’t think it was a replacement for that judging by the way it was used but at points it did so that had me a tiny bit confused but besides that I had no issue with it.

So yeah, overall rating definitely 5 Stars!

Descending by Holly Kelly

Hello Readers!

I am FINALLY back on track here and got a book review for you…It was supposed to be a review by the Maze Runner….but this book was sitting there in my Kindle too and I wanted to read it again so yeah…that happened. Forget Harry Potter and the Maze runner haha. Sorry, but in my book ANYTHING to do with mermaids or the like I’m sold and that may or may not take higher priority so…yeah. Let’s get this review started. Though I will say that I finished this book on the 5 hours car trip this weekend to my final destination but I did start Maze Runner on the trip home…but This one is still higher priority…Juuuuuuust sayin!

Sharethelove

So a while ago, I did a review of the fist book in this series called ‘Rising’ (Which you can get on Kindle for FREE) and you can check out my review of the first book HERE. So, with that said lets get started on this review. *bounces up and down in excitement*

df493a_554fe8cca5144c97aead5f279817a8ad.png_srz_257_389_75_22_0.50_1.20_0.00_png_srz

Isn’t the cover so pretty?!

When Xanthus cashes in a long-standing favor, Kyros is faced with doing two things he thought he’d never do—protect a mermaid and live on land. Dagonians loathe mermaids and Sara, Xanthus’s wife, is no exception. Also, a Dagonian standing on human legs? It’s just not natural!

As if being around the vile creatures responsible for polluting his home and killing his sister wasn’t horrible enough, Kyros has to deal with Sara’s troublesome human friend, Gretchen. This spunky human tries his patience and makes him feel things he shouldn’t be feeling—least of all for a land-walker! When Gretchen’s life is threatened, he is forced to become her protector. But there are two problems. First, how can he fight his attraction to her when he must keep her close? And second, when a mermaid wants you dead, no one can be trusted. Not even the ones you love.

Plot: So, this is my second time reading this book. (I read it right after I read the first one but I just didn’t review it when it was fresh in my mind..) You all know the reason why I read it again over the other two I planned to read this weekend but I really didn’t care. This book is beautiful. Anyways. Plot. Loved it! With both books the plot has been very unique, engaging and absolutely amazing! Holly Kelly did I great job with it and avoiding cliches (which can easily happen in books including mermaids or more common fantasy creatures.) But this was brilliantly done and unique! Absolutely loved it!

So much action, adventure and romance *giggles like a little school girl*

Genre: Most definitely Fantasy and Romance…Even better the best part about it is that the romance is clean too! *resists urge to happy dance* It is so hard to find things that are clean in fiction over all but especially when it comes to romance 😛 So yeah…

Characters: Wooh! This is my favourite part of the review! We once again see Sara and Xanthus in this novel but on top of those two characters (who I LOVE) We have a cast of new, main characters, who are absolutely amazing…and can we talk about these amazingly awesome guys in this book….First I loved Xanthus and now Kyros? Oh my goodness… *dies* why are they so amazing? How can one fall so hard for book characters? Like what…? (I still don’t understand the fangirl life I live sometimes…) Anyways, Besides that, I was also so glad to see Gretchen playing a more main role in this novel too!

Gretchen: So, as I just said, I was so excited to have her in more of a main role in this novel 🙂 I loved her character in Rising so seeing her take a main role in this one. Super exciting! I love Gretchen. She’s got quite a temper, she’s sassy, sarcastic, driven and rather stubborn. Her stubborness makes things a little difficult at points but that, my friends, is the fun of it! Gretchen is definitely awesome and one of my favourites thats for sure 🙂

Aella: Meet the mermaid baddie of the novel. (and unlike with Rising I actually remembered the antagonists name…) She’s cruel, violent, a murderer and just all around evil…Oh! Did I mention she’s got a few thousand years of killing people under her belt.. So yeah, all around evil and a psychopath, y’all. A psychopath who is out to kill Gretchen *dramatic music*

Kyros: Kyros is Xanthus’s Dagonian friend who, along with 3 others, is assigned with the task of protecting Gretchen…On land. Kyros started out as very cold, standoffish and just plain old grumpy to be honest. I loved his character (and the relationship between he and Gretchen *squeals* ) and even though he started off really grumpy and a little harsh, his grouchy protectiveness kinda grows on ya. Like a lot…Don’t say I didn’t warn you that you may (its very likely) get a fictional crush on this guy!

Okay. Pausing the Character section of the review for a moment…well kind of. Before I move on to the last couple characters, I wanna point out something I found amusing. There were multiple times Gretchen and/or Sara would go out, escorted by multiple Dagonians and the author showed how basically everyone kind of just stared at these girls beings escorted by these giant men…and while reading this, in my head I’m just going: #mylife (okay maybe take away the hashtag but you get what I mean) *cough cough* My Dad is 6’4″, My Uncle is 6’8″ and my two cousins are both really tall dudes…(about 6’4″ to 6’5″ ish..) and my other uncle is like 6’5″ ish so you get my point… Some of my friends are even scared/intimidated by my Dad and Uncle (The one who is 6’8″) and I’m totally cool with it. But yeah…reading those scenes made me giggle just a bit 😛 (I mean the author never specified how tall these guys were in the novel so they could be taller than Six foot something but yeah… anyways. Back to the review of the characters!

Okay so, these last two characters we don’t see much of. (one of them is just a little child) but I am hoping that in the next novel (which I am almost dying waiting for) they will make a return and maybe be mentioned more.

First is Thane: Son of Thanatos (who is Death himself)** and a very important character of significance to this story! What is said significance? Well….

tumblr_ll7k6j3gU71qfp25u

I tried to resist the urge of using a GIF but I couldn’t!

If you want to find out this characters significance, go read this book 😉 All I’m saying is that I hope to see more of this character later!

Donovan: Now this is the character who is just a baby…I mean it literally. But I feel like SOOOOOO many things could happen here with this little character thrown into the cast here. You hardly see any of this character except in the last couple chapters but I’m guessing here that this character could be significant later! (If not, whatever.. but still! I’m just so excited and making assumptions and guesses all over the place here!)

Now that that is done its time for my overall thoughts and rating of this book!

*drumroll*

…….

…….

…….

LiKrbzXia

And 5 stars for me! I absolutely loved this novel to itty bitty little pieces! Such a well done book and an amazing read! Absolutely love it and cannot wait for the next book! ( I also REALLY want a movie series made of this book series. Like, you have NO idea how badly I want it!)

And that is it for my review of this wonderful book! Have you read this novel before? or Rising? Do you plan on reading them? (if you don’t I suggest you change your mind 😉 ) Is there any other novels you find amazing that have to do with mermaids and/or other fantasy creatures?

Talk to me below my lovely readers! I love hearing from you! (and I reply to all comment 😉 )

Until Next Time!

Adriana Gabrielle

** like mentioned above these novels are linked with Greek Gods and many others hence Thane being the son of Death so…yeah 😛

Book Review || The Follower

Hello Readers!

Adriana here with a Share The Love post for you lovely people 🙂 but first, I want to apologize for neglecting my blogging duties this Friday! This week has not gone as well as I had hoped and things went downhill…and to be honest, I forgot a post. But here I am again, hoping you will all forgive me and ready to redeem myself with today’s post!

Sharethelove

So, remember how I discussed why I loved the book called ‘The Follower’ by C.F Barrows a couple weeks ago? Well today I’m gonna expand on that!

Today, I am going to be reviewing one of my 100% absolutely all time favorite book! (you guys…I’ve read this book 5 times…in just over a year.) This book is published by a good friend, and this book is called The Follower (by C.F Barrows)

I am so excited to share it with you so I will get right into it 🙂

51zeae2affl-_aa278_pikin4bottomright-4822_aa300_sh20_ou15_

Three hundred years ago, the Rhenor nation split into two, the Reshan and the Khanor. One dwells in the Outerlands, the other in the mountains – and although the nations have made peace, their people have not. One fateful day, two small patrols meet in an outer cave in Khanor territory. The youths, spurred by mutual distrust, brawl, and the ensuing cave-in cuts off their main routes back to both the Reshan and the Khanor civilizations. Their only choice is to join forces and follow the one remaining tunnel – one that runs through an area known simply as the Forbidden Regions – to find their way back to their homes. Along the way, the beliefs of every traveler are put to the test, and the secrets of a few may threaten the safety of all. For as they go, Lusefar, lord of the Saethen, sends his agents against them, licking his lips as a ravenous dragon.

Plot: The plot of this novel was A-Freaking-Mazing! Loved it so so much! *fangirl squeal* (Yeah I’m already squealing…and I haven’t even gotten to the characters yet 😉 ) It was so unique and engaging and filled with plot twists! (You guys know how much I love those!)

Genre: Fantasy!! :3 Oh gosh…I love fantasy. (though y’all know that by now I am sure)

Characters: Yes! The BEST.PART.EVER! *rubs hands together* Okay! Lets do this thing! Or in other words…Let the Fangirling commence! 😀

Sohrem: Love Sohrem. I don’t know what it is exactly that makes me like him so much. ( Quite a lot of reasons…) His attitude and personality was so great. And, I will admit sometimes the things he said or did made me laugh…Sohrem is such a great character overall and his story is so interesting. (Won’t say much cause I want you all to read it and discover for yourselves.)

Sheth: Is is appropriate to just put heart emoji’s or no?…

…I’m gonna go with maybe not but I will put this to good use….

tumblr_m5n23oljjl1rq27uuo1_250

….okay and maybe ONE heart emoji. (Don’t judge me!) Okay, but seriously I mean it! *WARNING:FICTIONAL CRUSH ALERT*

Okay. So, Fictional Crush aside… <3…Sheth is a great character. I just-I-Ugh. Yeah….He’s awesome *Adriana has lost all ability to function properly and know how to continue with this review* 😛 I love his personality and character and- yeah…he’s just my favourite.

Okay… I really haven’t said why I like him so much, so I shall say why now. (Fangirling aside…for now) So! Sheth, I really liked his character. I especially liked how strong his faith was throughout the novel and I also liked how he kept a level head even when it came to patience when tension was rising between himself and the other characters. I loved his character on a hole but just his strength and such through tension and just…yeah. So great…okay, I’m done now.

Kyra: Three words to describe her:

1. Grumpy (kinda)

2. Sassy

3. …..Awesome!

I loved Kyra! She was such a great character with a very interesting (yet sad) story. She has her grumpy/sassy/snippy/angry moments but I also found her to be totally awesome and not to mention smart. (Not that the other characters weren’t but..you get my point) I really really really enjoyed Kyra’s character.

Ender: *cue dramatic music* Well…First of all, Ender is also kinda grumpy at points and always seems to pick fights with his sister, Kyra…True sibling rivalry at it’s finest!…that and Kyra isn’t completely innocent with the whole picking fights thing either) There are quite a lot of ways he and Kyra are alike though….and I think thats why they both butt heads so much.

Lehn: Lehn is such a great character. He’s smart, has almost no cooking skill according to his sister and is really caring and protective of his sister Shaetha. (We will talk about her in a minute) Lehn is rather quiet but really kind. I LOVE (like big fat puffy heart love) how he cares so much for his sister and watches over her. It’s just…Gosh its great.

Shaetha: I love Shaetha. She so sweet and so gentle. Throughout most of the story she was kind of the odd one out and definitely a bit of a misfit of the group (consisting of Sheth, Sohrem, Lehn, Yannah, Kyra, Ender and Jorthen), but she was also a great addition to this very interesting group. I really loved her character. SHe was just so sweet…Is it bad that I picture her to be like a sweet, innocent baby deer? (I don’t mean that in a bad way at all but it’s just kind of how I see it.)

Yannah: Yannah! I love Yannah! Shes amazing and just plain old awesome. She’s tough yet still quite girly which I liked 🙂 I also loved her slight sassy-ness she had going on sometimes. She is also really friendly and kind. Though she did have her moments where certain people would really annoy her. (but isn’t everyone annoyed by someone at one point?) Yeah…just…Yeah no words except that I really loved her 🙂

Okay! Last but not least, we have Jorthen: Overall, he’s just really cool and uhh…I’m running out of words….just so many AMAZING characters! Anyways, Jorthen is cool. He’s got a level head on his shoulders (and sometimes acts like hes some sort of political leader 😛 Not that that’s a bad thing…I’m just saying!) but yeah, I can definitely see why he is one of higher authority when it comes to the entire group.

So, as you can see, lots of characteers and lots of love to go around. The characters are absolutely lovely and totally awesome! I love them all so much! 😀 😀

Setting: The novel takes place in the fantasy world known as Sehret. While reading this book, I really found the setting to be quite believable and the setting just felt so real to me! Like I was right there in the world with the characters. Absolutely loved it and such well done work setting wise 🙂

Overall Thoughts: Ummm…You guys, I’ve read this book 5 times in just over a year…I think that expresses my overall thoughts on the book quite well, don’tcha think? But, either way, Overall I absolutely LOVED this book to itty bitty little pieces. (Okay I don’t necessarily know what that means but it sounds cool and you get my point) It was really good with a fantastic plot/storyline. It was beautiful 😀

Rating: My rating for this book is 5 stars! 5 REALLY BIG,BRIGHT AND SHINY STARS!!

Book Review|| Fighter by Christopher Greenwood

Hello Readers!

Sharethelove

Welcome to the first post for Share The Love! So, I’ve decided now that Share The Love will be book reviews or just a little blurb with a reason why I love a certain book or what I learned while reading it…so basically just sharing the love of books! Fun right?

Okay, today I am gonna just talk a bit about ‘Fighter: 5 keys to conquering fear and reaching your dreams’ which is a non-fiction novel written my Christopher Greenwood

This book was absolutely fantastic. It was part biography and part inspiration. I read through this book within a couple sittings and scribbled away notes in my notebook throughout the entire thing.

Christopher Greenwood (a.k.a Rapper/Hip Hop Artist called Manafest) used his story of his childhood and building his career as a musical artist in an effective way to show how you can conquer your fears and reach your dreams, no matter what they are.

It was a great book and I highly suggest it. This book left me so inspired and thinking of ways I can reach those goals and dreams I wanted to reach but everyone tells me is impossible.

Because of this book, Ive decided to reach for my dreams and not let anything drag me down or stand in my way….

…and that is why I love this book and want to Share The Love.

Have you read this book? Heard of it? Is there another book you’ve read that you want to share? I’m always interested in hearing about new books and such, so fire off a comment and I shall see it and love it 😛

Until Next Time,

Adriana
