But soon, his past becomes exposed. Cassie’s left to wonder—did she make the same mistake Mom did by falling for the bad boy?

Then, Grandma’s control pushes her over the edge. Cassie must choose between remaining in the chains of yesterday, or delving into her own freedom by completing the melody her mom left behind.

“Why are you staring at the keyboard like that?”

“Like what?” James’s question lurches me back into the present moment, out of the thoughts that had me buried as he played our song for the second time.

A broad smile expands across his face. He rests an elbow on the keyboard and tilts his head. “Like it’s a cheeseburger and you’ve gone days without food. Like it’s a positive magnet and you’re the negative. Like—”

I laugh. “Alright, I get it.” My smile fades, though, because how could he tell? When James brought the song to a close, I couldn’t tear my gaze away from the keys. It’s mesmerizing, how the dance of his fingers can breathe life into a melody.

“Let me guess—you wanna play?”

I plop my head against the back of the leather chair and fight the so-called magnetic attraction. “I can’t.”

He shifts on the bench and turns toward me. “What do you mean, you can’t?”

“Just another one of Grandma’s absurd rules.” I tell James about the white baby grand piano at our house—how he was the first to play actual music on it since Mom passed. How, for my entire life, the piano has served as a constant reminder that my dreams were not within reach. “Any time I’ve asked permission to take piano lessons, Grandma’s refused.”

But I’ve always wondered what would happen if I could play. If I were allowed, would I pour my emotions, longings, and thoughts into music, just like Mom did? Would I be a natural, if I learned how to play?

I often wondered if Mom’s legacy could, somehow—through the mysterious power of music—live on through me. And if the melody she’d begun on the music sheet could find its completion through me.

“Come on.” James scoots to the edge of the bench and pats the space beside him. “Let me at least teach you the chorus to The Other Side of the Road. It’s simple.”

That magnetic attraction he referred to? It’s doubled in size. And for the first time, someone—a famous musician—is offering to teach me a chorus on the piano.

My feet plant themselves onto the ground, but it takes an extra dose of effort to stand. Not because I don’t want to, but because Grandma’s voice booms in the back of my mind, all the times she’s forbidden me from going near our piano.

The floorboards squeak as I shuffle across the worn rug then lower myself onto the bench next to James. I’m not sure what’s more terrifying—sitting so close to James Russo, or finally being taught to play piano.

But my hands stay glued to my lap. It’s as though the keys are alcohol, and if I take a sip, I’ll become drunk on its melody; my fingertips will be stained with the music notes, and I’ll come home reeking with its fragrance.

James’s azure eyes stare down at me, inches from my face. “Follow my lead.” His fingers curl around my hands, and with the gentlest touch, he places them on the keys. His left arm wraps behind my back, over my shoulder, until his hand is clasped on top of mine.

My heart flutters at our closeness, at the way his presence is a warm shield from the brisk air in this music room. I inhale a deep breath, almost intoxicated from his overpowering cologne and the fresh-out-of-the-wash scent of his sweater. And during the brief moment of him aligning my fingers along the keys, nerves mount, causing my chest to constrict. Who knows how many rules of Grandma’s I’m breaking right now?

But when he places his fingers onto mine causing me to strike the first note, a soothing peace washes over me and calms my nerves. I feel myself relax as he guides me through the brief chorus.

“It’s only two chords.” James’s voice sounds deeper than usual, his breath tickling my cheek. “But it’s the same for the entire chorus.”

I don’t even know what he means by that. All I know is I’ve tasted this indulgence, and there’s no way I can resist the magnetic pull from this moment forward.

Jesus Called. He Wants His Church Back (Book Review)

I was recently given a copy of Jesus Called: He Wants His Church Back by Ray Johnston to review from Book Look Bloggers.

As early as AD 50, Christians had gotten away from knowing who Jesus really is. Our generation is no different.

In every decade we, as Americans, lost something important that we couldn’t afford to lose: • In the 1950s, we lost innocence • In the 1960s, we lost respect for authority • In the 1970s, we lost love • In the 1980s, we lost values • In the 1990s, we lost faith • In the 2000s, we lost security • In the 2010s, we lost hope in the future

What can restore what we’ve lost? Only Jesus. Jesus gave us His name, His friendship, and a commission to accept responsibility for ourselves and for the world. When introduced to His words and ways we’ll rediscover the Jesus who:

• Wants His enemies won over, not wiped out • Wants you to stop playing it safe • Believed great things were possible no matter what things are like right now • Was full of grace and truth • Unleashed compassion • Believed no one was too far from God to return to Him • Came to seek and to save that which was lost • Loves the church

Pastor Ray Johnston shares the Jesus of the Bible and how we can be Christians without being jerks. He reveals how the radical message of the gospel calls us to love and serve not only our neighbors but our enemies as well. That’s the Jesus the American Church has missed and needs to meet.

Jesus’ mission is clear—risk everything in order to take care of people, starting in our home, neighborhoods, cities, and those in need around the world. That’s the Jesus the American Church has missed and needs to meet.

 

My Thoughts

I wasn’t entirely sure what this book would entail and I’m still not sure what to make of it. The book wasn’t bad! Just not what I was expecting. I’m unsure if maybe it;s the fact I’m still getting used to reading more non-fiction or what. I’m starting to ease myself into non-fiction books so sometimes I don’t know what to expect. Aside from that fact I quite enjoyed the book. Though for a non-fiction this one was very factual. In this novel the writer discusses how, since the 50’s, the church and Christianity has changed.  The one thing that jumped out to me was the following statement by the author:

  • In the 1950s, we lost innocence.
  • In the 1960s, we lost respect for authority.
  • In the 1970s, we lost love.
  • In the 1980s, we lost values.
  • In the 1990s, we lost faith.
  • In the 2000s, we lost security.
  • In the 2010s, we lost hope in the future.

This was definitely a good read with facts on the church and how it has fallen from God in some senses then this is definitely a good read

Top 10 Creepy Destinations !

So this is my little portion of the post where I give you a list of my top ten favourite creepy  destinations. I’m not gonna lie, some of these I looked up for writing this post but the first half were all ones I knew. If they were all ones I knew of prior to writing this post it all would have been abandoned fair grounds and amusement parks so… you know. Though I do promise you you will not reget looking into these creepy destinations either.

 

Abandoned Wizard of Oz Theme Park ( Reopens once a year for ‘Autumn at Oz’ )

– In 1970, two businessmen opened a then-cutting edge theme park in Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Nestled in the mountains, the park was originally opened to keep local ski instructors and workers employed in the summer months.

 

 

Wonderland Amusement Park – Beijing, China

Wonderland was an abandoned and never completed amusement park project located in Chenzhuang Village. Originally proposed by the Thailand-based property developer Reignwood Group, and designed to be the largest amusement park in Asia (to have covered 120 acres ), construction stopped in 1998 following financial problems with local officials, while a 2008 attempt to start construction again also failed.

The site featured a number of abandoned structures, including the framework of a castle-like building and medieval-themed outer buildings. Land was reclaimed by local farmers to grow their various crops while the site was abandoned. People have reported when visiting the site that, sometimes, there would still be parking attendants in the site’s parking lot, presumably to tend to onlookers and curious sightseers that came to visit.

Pripyat, Ukraine

In the 1970s, the town of Pripyat, less than 3 kilometers away from the reactor, was constructed for the plant’s personnel. Once a beautiful town by Soviet standards, its 50,000 inhabitants were evacuated 36 hours after the accident. Today a chilling ghost town, its buildings bear witness to the hasty departure. Dolls are scattered on the floors of abandoned kindergartens; children’s cots are littered with shreds of mattresses and pillows; and in a gymnasium, where teens once trained, floors rot and paint peels. Amidst the surrounding decay, decades after the catastrophe, nature reclaims the town: trees grow through broken windows, and grass pushes up through the cracks in dormant roads that once were glorious promenades – but the town remains unfit for human habitation for hundreds of years to come.

Aokigahara Forest, Japan

Called “the perfect place to die,” the Aokigahara forest in Japan has the unfortunate distinction of the world’s second most popular place to take one’s life. (The first is the Golden Gate Bridge.) Since the 1950s, Japanese businessmen have wandered in, and at least 500 of them haven’t wandered out, at an increasing rate of between 10 and 30 per year. Recently these numbers have increased even more, with a record 78 suicides in 2002.  In 2003, that record was beat with a number of 105 bodies discovered.

Japanese spiritualists believe that the suicides committed in the forest have permeated Aokigahara’s trees, generating paranormal activity and preventing many who enter from escaping the forest’s depths. Complicating matters further is the common experience of compasses being rendered useless by the rich deposits of magnetic iron in the area’s volcanic soil.

Due to the vastness of the forest, desperate visitors are unlikely to encounter anyone once inside the so-called “Sea of Trees,” so the police have mounted signs reading “Your life is a precious gift from your parents,” and “Please consult the police before you decide to die!” on trees throughout.

Valley of the Mills – Sorento, Italy

the Valley of the Mills in Sorrento, Italy was abandoned in 1866. This mill ground wheat, and a sawmill operated nearby as well. The mill was isolated from the sea by the construction of Tasso Square, which raised the humidity in the area and caused it to be abandoned.

New Bedford Orpheum, U.S.A

The New Bedord Orpheum is an old theater and entertainment building located in Massachusetts in the U.S. It was opened in 1912 and closed in 1959 – since then, it has stored tobacco and served as a supermarket. Now, the Orph Inc. nonprofit is trying to raise money to revitalize the building.

Salto Hotel, Colombia 

The Hotel De Salto opened in 1928 near Tequendema Falls in Colombia to serve tourists who came to marvel at the 157 meter-tall waterfall. It closed down in the early 90s after interest in the waterfall declined. In 2012, however, the site was turned into a museum.

Abandoned Military Hospital in Beelitz, Germany

The large complex was built at the end of the 1800s and helped Adolf Hitler recuperate from a leg wound incurred at the Battle of Somme in 1916. Parts of the complex remain in operation, but most were abandoned after the Soviets withdrew from the hospital in 1995.

Hashima Island, Japan

Hashima island in Japan has a wide array of nicknames, including Battelship Island (for its shape) and Ghost Island. From the late 1800s to late 1900s, the island was populated because of the access it granted to undersea coal mines. However, as Japan gradually switched from coal to petroleum, the mines (and the buildings that sprung up around them to support their workers) closed down, leaving an isolated ghost town that reminds some of a ghostly concrete battleship.

The Carlton Villa – New York

The Carleton Villa was built in 1894 for typewriter magnate William Wyckoff as a summer residence and large spot for entertaining. Wycoff’s wife died of a heart attack a month before he moved in, and on his first night in the mansion he suffered a heart attack in his sleep and died. Wycoff’s youngest son inherited the villa after his father’s death, but within a few years the family lost much of their fortune in the Great Depression and the house fell into disrepair.

So life has been insane…but here is whats coming up.

So long story short, my computer bit the dust. ( *weeps* ) its why I haven’t been blogging as of late because work has been crazy, my boyfriend was visiting AND I haven’t had the chance to get to the library long enough to actually write up a blog post or two…BUT here I am. At the library writing away and I’m popping in to tell you whats coming up.

 

  1. Sometime in this next week I have a blog hop post for Author Jennifer Murgia and her spooky novels! (Just in time for halloween!) – long story short it was supposed to be done today but see reasons above relating to my computer and now I have no graphics for the post either 😦

Well, We Don’t Like Being ‘Eye Candy’ Either…

So I recently went and saw the Ghostbusters movie in theatres with my sister and co-worker, Taylor, and I really really enjoyed the film (maybe I’ll review it another time) A few days after watching the movie, I stumbled upon some posts and articles posted on Facebook written by some enraged guys about Chris Hemsworth’s character Kevin in the film.  People were mad that he played a dumb guy who was basically just there for his looks. (The term I read that was used frequently was ‘Eye Candy’ )

Now normally I’m not one to whine or complain about this kind of stuff but I just want to say this. ‘Us girls don’t like it when you do this to us, either.’

Normally I’m not one for the whole time to give you a taste of your own medicine thing…but right now this actually applies quite well. I think it was interesting and kind of nice to have the roles reversed for once because finally…FINALLY people are starting to slowly come to the realization that ‘hey. It totally sucks when this guy/girl is a total dummy and only there because they are attractive. What does that make me?’

My question and main concern is Why? Why aren’t people taking a stand against the creation of characters like this? Like, don’t get me wrong. These kinds of characters are HILARIOUS. But what is that also telling us about how much people and the media seem to take the looks of people for granted and nothing else really matters? – Now I’m NOT saying we all need to riot till things are changed but do you think there is any way this kind of thing can be changed? or should?

I ask this for the reason looking at it from a girls point of view here. But to me, it seems women’s bodies are so sexualized in our society and we and our bodies are turned into some sort of pleasure for the eye. And what do we and our bodies then become? Eye candy. There for the pure and simple enjoyment of the eyes of others. Women these days don’t seem to be held to high standards because they are clever. Its based a LOT on how we look and its one of the many things messing with many people in our society today. As women we want to be like these models or whoever and have a body like theirs to even get a guy to look at us or get their attention but then we have to worry about guys who may not wanna keep their hands (or words) to themselves. Everything has spiralled out of control based on this whole idea of people and characters only being around for the sole reason of being ‘Eye Candy’ to others.

I’m just looking deeper into an issue that can and is spiralling out of control even with simple and further promptings with characters who are dumb and really only there cause they look good to the other characters or whatever.  (and I’m using the example of women cause I am a woman and yeah….you get my point)

I’m finally back! So sorry on my absence. Its like 13 days till this conference I’m going to so I’m working ahead on school AND its also 20 days till grad so basically when it comes to this giant amounts of homework and studying I have, I’m drowning…

Oh! Oh! One of my favourites (that I talk about often) is Fighter by Christ Greenwood (a.k.a Manafest) One of my all time favourite Non-Fiction books and I’ve reread it almost as many times as All The Bright Places.

 

A book (physical copy, not the story itself) that has an interesting story behind it.

Ohhh. I have lots of interesting stories behind my books as in when I got them or from whom and in what situations but I would think one of my favourites is BY FAR the time where I was at an antique sale with my Gram and while at one of the booths I saw some old books someone was selling. Upon closer inspection I saw an small ORIGINAL copy of Les Miserables published in 1922!! I still have yet to read it but its so beautiful and small and I’m honestly in love. Yeah yeah I know thats not that interesting of a story but thats one of the most exciting ones I’ve got so lets just go with it!

 

 

So thats kind of my little post for today! Have some book reviews and stuff coming (hopefully) very soon!

Okay okay… Not really gonna whine or complain but you get my point. Kinda just a little update on life and books and other such things with the help of some fun GIFS! Cause who doesn’t love GIFS?

LIIIIIIFE: 

SO basically the countdown for Grad, YC Alberta 2016, My friends Grad AND my bestie coming home from Mexico has begun… Well, actually it began MONTHS ago but now things are getting closer and I’m getting more and more excited! and also more and more stressed. Yes, yes. I just said I was excited but now I’m stressed? ( #myemotionsinanutshell ) …Let me explain.

So yes, all these wonderful things are happening like Graduation, spending time with friends, my birthday and all that other fun stuff (you can read about all that –>  here ) BUT its down for the final stretch for this semester and I’m really stressing about final exams cause basically they are in just over 30 days and I’m nowhere near ready…

….eeeeeespecially when it comes to Biology. I’m failing it and GAH. Things are insanity. But its ok. Its okay. I THINK I got this.

So yes, thats kind of where I am at BUT I’m almost done so thats exciting!

Book and Youtube Stuff!

See. Told ya. More on that.

So as I mentioned in two different previous posts. (This one and This one ) I have joined a book review program called BookLook Bloggers and I have a Youtube Channel!

As for BookLook Bloggers, I already got the two books I requested! So I am reviewing those and have a couple other review copies on the way as I write this so I obviously will be posting reviews here as I go along through May and the first week or two of June (I WILL still be here! I’m not leaving. Just posts won’t be as frequent as I have scheduled. But then this summer you will probably (maybe) see a lot of me so YAY! fun times!) as well as a couple updates and photos I’m sure!

 

As for Youtube, I am planning on doing some Vlogging of these things I am going to and road trips I am taking. So I will be posting those on my youtube channel as I go and I will give updates on the blog when those are live too! (I make no promises cause sometimes life gets crazy and I forget to vlog! But I hope to get some things up regardless!) So stay tuned for that!

 

 

So thats about all I have going on right now (Its back to studying now cause finishing this post counted as my 20 minutes study break) nothing all that interesting as of yet but hey, just keeping you updated.

BUT before I go…A Recap in case any of what I just said made no sense. I WILL be around on the blog this summer but this next month of May I will be very slow and not posting as much as I would like due to final exams coming.

Hello Readers!

Now I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but I have a book related youtube channel! But today I kinda wanna officially share it with you!

I posted my first video on my youtube channel a year ago with a writing related video (and I may do more of those in the future too) and looking back its a pretty terrible video BUT for my first youtube video its not too bad? ANYWAYS. Since then I’ve been posting videos on and off about book things and all that fun stuff and I keep coming up with ideas for more videos and its a lot of fun. (Yes, this whole post is self promo…but I mean you’re already on my blog so… 😉 )

I plan on doing some more vlogging and stuff during some every day life/dun event stuff on the channel BUT I’m posting today not to promise those videos cause sometimes life happens BUT to ask a question and just tell you a bit about my channel.

So I’ve recently done a fun video where I dance around to songs with books. I felt pretty stupid doing it but it was also a LOT of fun.  I’ve also done an unboxing for The Bookish Box and hope to do more in the future when I have money. 😛 I’ve also recently got some books for review from BookLook Bloggers and so I may be posting some reviews as well. But basically I’ve just got a couple random videos trying out some different things and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. BUT my question for you is this:

What kind of book related youtube videos would YOU like to see on my channel? (Collaboration ideas would also be super cool! Then I’ll have to find people to Collab with but thats just minor details XD ) I would LOVE to hear some ideas of your favourite kind of book related youtube videos to watch. Do you like book hauls? Reviews? Unboxings? Collabs? Bookish Skits? Videoing my trips to the bookstore? What do you want to see? give me any ideas and I’ll give them a shot!

(Like seriously. I’m graduating this summer so I’ll have time to actually do this stuff! )

SO I do have a writing post coming ok?? I promise! But for now I kinda partially stole and was partially tagged by Liz  @Out of Coffee, Out of Mind for this Get To Know Me tag. I figured, a lot of you may know a lot about me but the last time I did one of these was last year. And I’m a new person now! Cause like…Im an adult…who is supposed to be adulting…and kinda failing but also succeeding?? ANYWAYS. On with the tag and I promise I will get a writing post soonish!

Nicknames: Adrie, Age, Dee Dee, Dilly (not called that one so much anymore. Sometimes it randomly comes up though) and I have lots of others. Like ask my friend Kolton. He and my sister are masterminds working together to give me nicknames all the time and what not….

Hair color: Blonde…but yet my hair also looks red sometimes too depending on the light. When I dyed by hair a few years ago, it kinda absorbed the color more than it should have so now my hair looks red sometimes… 😛

Hair length: Right now its at my shoulders… Was past my butt before I got it cut last spring LOL

Eye color: They be blue.

Firsts—

First best friend: My first best friend was a girl named Roya! We were absolute besties in Kindergarten to grade 2 or 3. After that we lost contact for many years but then, wouldn’t ya know it (perks of being a cashier at a grocery store) I actually ran into her nearing Christmas time! It was kinda cool to see her around. I’ve kinda chatted with her on and off over FB a bit this last while but yeah. She was my first best friend. Hands down.

Award: I won a trophy and medal in soccer when I was like 8? I was the most lazy player ever XD I still kinda am if I have to play soccer. Its better if you just don’t play with me at all… HAHA

Sport: *see above* Though….if Dance counts as a sport I do Swing Dancing 😀 (I’ve also done LOTS of other dance styles over the years)

Real holiday: Uh what Holiday comes after June 3rd? Whatever that was in the year 1997… XD

Concert: Oh my. Ummmm I THINK it was a Johnny Lang concert when I was about 5 years old. I vaguely remember it and I know we had moved away from Edmonton at that point…so yeah. About 5 or 6.  And I am just saying, I am the reason my parents got backstage to meet Johnny Lang….because I wanted to. So my parents took me to the security guard so I could ask to meet him. And of course I was 5 years old, and so freaking adorable so my parents and I got to go backstage and meet him!

Film: Uuuuuuugh. I don’t know. I think, in all honestly, when it comes down to it my favourite is tied between Disney’s Beauty and the Beast OR The Little Mermaid.

TV show: Agent Carter OR Doctor Who OR Sherlock. Top 3. Right there.

Color: ORANGE!!!! (really. If you haven’t guessed by now with all the orange font stuff I use in my posts or how much I TALK about the color orange then…)

Song: Hahahaaaaa thats cute. Really it is. I honestly couldn’t tell you what my favourite song would be… I have SO many Spotify playlists its not even funny.

Restaurant: Joey’s Seafood probably (because Seafood) OR Street-side Eatery. I love both those places.

Shop: Chapters. Duh.

Book: Really? This is even more adorable than the song question. I once again can’t really pick just one. But Jennifer Niven’s All The Bright Places is high on the list.

Magazine: Ummm…. a- uh- mothering magazine filled with birth stories. I know! I know! It kinda sounds really really weird (its why I hide the magazine and don’t keep it on my bookshelf so people who don’t really know don’t judge me) but I am considering getting my training to be a doula/midwife. So yeahhhhh…..

Shoes: Can my favourite shoes be a pair I do not have in my possession quite yet??? Because I’m gonna be (FINALLY) purchasing a pair of saddle shoes… they are already my favourite and not even in my possession as of yet.

Its 2016 and I’m back! (Maybe to as much as my calendar says I will be because Final and Diploma Exams and Life. :/ )

Did you miss me moriarty

So I already missed not putting up a book review because I didn’t actually have one written yet…so this will be replacing it….and I know its not Monday either. BUT OH WELL. Doesn’t matter. As long as I am here and posting. I’ve lately been extremely discourage with anything relating to my novel writing lately so this year I’m really just gonna focus on only 3 projects as opposed to messing around with all ideas at once. I’ve also been deciding what stories I even find worth keeping BUT in light of that I’m gonna be joining The Beautiful Books Link-Up talking about writing goals for the new year!

What were your writing achievements last year?

Oh my…well I had lots of achievements last year that didn’t happen. If I sat here and listed them all we would be here a while…

 
Tell us about your top priority writing project for this year?

My top priority project this year is going to be a new novel I started the other night. I’ve had the idea floating around my head for month now but I really just started to develop it a few days ago as a last attempt to see if I will be writing novels anymore. So I’m kinda taking it very slowly and carefully because I’m at a hard point in my life right now with writing and other things so I’m trying not to get frustrated with everything. I’m really sticking to it for a friend and I’m giving writing (novels not blogging) another try.

But with that said, let me tell you about my writing project. I do not have much at all but I have a tiny couple sentence description summarizing the characters, a collage of the character shipping cuteness, and a Pinterest board. So its a start.

Screaming Silence

Isn’t this collage to cute?! I’m in love with my characters of this story, ok? Ok now character summary thing:

The story of a quiet girl screaming in a void known as an ignorant, careless family and she just wants to be heard…and her screaming in silence is heard by the most unlikeliest of people; a tattooed, piercing covered pet store employee who is searching for someone to love the real him. The one hiding beneath the tattoos and piercings.

 

as I said, not much about the plot in that little description thing, but its a start! 😛 But this will be the project (out of three) that will probably have most of my attention this year.

 

 

List 5 areas you’d like to work the hardest to improve this year.

  1. Work on my editing. I’m not the best at editing so I really need to improve on that this year as one of my novels I’m gonna be focusing on edits this year
  2. Describing characters. I cannot describe characters very well and its frustrating cause I have a perfect image in my head and I want to tell people what these characters look like but then it comes across as tell-y so…
  3. Work on showing things in my writing as opposed to telling them. Over this last year and a bit I’ve improved a little but It still needs some work.

I can’t really think of anything else so I’m only listing three…but oh well!

 
Are you participating in any writing challenges?

I don’t think so. Right now I don’t need any challenges I just need to learn to love writing again and re-learn that its ok for things not to be perfect and messy. I feel writing challenges will add a pressure I don’t need.

 
What’s your critique partner/beta reader situation like and do you have plans to expand this year?

Its this whole big dramatic deal that I don’t really feel like discussing….but lets just say finding a beta reader who will actually stick around and help me out is EXTREMELY difficult and frustrating.

 
Do you have plans to read any writer-related books this year? Or are there specific books you want to read for research?

None I can think of off the top of my head, but some may very well come up.

 
Pick one character you want to get to know better, and how are you going to achieve this?

ALL OF THEM! How I’m gonna do that, I don’t know yet…. Any suggestions.

 
Do you plan to edit or query, and what’s your plan of attack?

I’m taking a break from querying my novel this year. I really just need to read it over again and decide if its worth it to keep burying or not. As for editing, I have my novel Aimlessly Wandering that I’m finishing edits/re-writes of the ending on so I need to finish that. My plan of attack is to try and work on it without crying cause its a mess LOL probably consume lotsa chocolate and get fat too.

 
Toni Morrison once said, “If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” What are the books that you want to see more of, and what “holes” do you think need filling in the literary world?

I honestly have no idea…. Can you tell I have no idea what I’m doing anymore?

What do you hope to have achieved by the end of 2016?

The goal I hope to achieve is NOT quitting writing and getting at least 40k in my new novel. Other than that I got nothing. Keeping it small this year.
